Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The department was established from the inception of the institute in 2001. Since its commencement,
the primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education, training and research at
the undergraduate level in various areas of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with broad
emphasis on design aspects of electronics and communication systems. The National Board of
Accreditation, New Delhi has accredited Electronics & Communication Engineering Department. The
department is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University,
Belgaum.

3. To pursue higher education and research in the field of VLSI design, Digital Electronics, Embedded Systems Design, Signal Processing, RF design technologies, Microwave link analysis, Industrial Electronics, Robotics and Automation.
4. To train the students to understand the requisite mathematical, analytical and competitional ability in scientific and engineering fundamentals to enable him to solve real world problems.
5. To achieve the students to have the core competence in the field of VLSI and Embedded design, Digital Communication, Digital Electronics design and applications.
6. To prepare the students to develop Microcontroller based application oriented products almost in all the fields of engineering and technology which includes Robotics and automation, RF transreceiver,Bluetooth, Zigbee, Signal Processing and Image Processing related media applications.
7. To train the students to comprehend, analyse and design novel products in the field of health care, food and agriculture, energy conservation, social security, with the aim of improving quality of life of common man.
8. To prepare the student with fundamentals of Operating System concepts, C++ programming skills, OOPS concept and to excel the students andprepare them for post graduation in the field of Information and Communication engineering .
9. To train the students in hardware design ,soft ware development, processor technologies,design of processors and to develop the algorithms in almost all fields of Electronics and Communication Engineering which includes hands on training on DSP processors kits,8051/ARM7/ARM10/PIC processor boards.
10. To inculcate students with professional andethical attitudes by conducting additional training by inviting experts from industries and research resource professionals.
11. To train the students to attain effective English communication skills, personality development andhands on training on team work motivational skills.
12. To train the students for multidisciplinary tasks which almost has to cover all the allied fields of engineering andtechnology and social context.
13. To inculcate the students with complete academic environment and to attain academic excellence, leadership qualities andpropagate written ethical codes .
14. To promote the students life long learning needed for successful engineering career.
