Department of Information Science and Engineering

The   department   of   information Science and Engineering was established in the year 2001 Intake had been increased to 120 in the year 2005-06.Right from the inception of the Institution with an objective of imparting quality technical education in IT field.  

The department is headed by Dr. Suresh M B who has more than 15 years of experience in the teaching field. The department offers BE and M.Tech degrees in Computer Networking and Engineering (CSE) with an intake 120 UG students and 36 PG students respectively. 

The department has state-of-the-art laboratories, library facility for staff & students and boasts of well trained, committed and experienced teaching faculty, who emphasize the theoretical and practical applications of computation and computer systems to the needs of Industry and Society.
The Department is having the student's forum and Dept Association throughwhich the Dept is conducting activities like Guest lecturers from the experienced academicians and industry experts, Technical seminars, Group Discussion, Technical Quiz, Aptitude and Programming test to update and help the students for the better Placements. 

The Dept is having collaboration with Infosys campus connect and IBM academic initiative. The Dept got the reward from Infosys for best implementations of campus connect program transformation to students. IBM conducted 5 days training in the campus and conducted the online test about the RAD tool in which the dept got 98% results.

Adequate Infrastructure: State-of-the-art laboratories, departmental library, Seminar Hall, Well furnished class rooms.
